By: Jessie Danqing CaiSenior Research Manager, Christopher Lee MarshallAssociate Vice President

Abstract

IDC's 2019 Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) (APEJ) AI Adoption Survey was conducted in 2Q19. The survey reached 710 organizations in 12 locations: Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. It covered seven industries: financial service, manufacturing, healthcare and life science, professional and personal services, transportations and communications, retail and wholesale, and government and education. We will provide a series of reports to present highlighted findings. This paper, which is the sixth of the series, talks about the demand for general purpose data and AI platforms, and providers of such platforms that have received more votes in different regional markets.
