Abstract

This IDC Perspective discusses the impact of 5G wireless communication on robotics and manufacturing. It covers the current status of 5G development and commercial deployment, key differentiating capabilities of 5G as compared with previous generations of wireless communication technologies, 5G use cases, and new opportunities enabled for robotics and smart manufacturing.
