Abstract

As the time of writing this note, there have been over 80,130 infections reported in and out of China and over 2,663 deaths from COVID-19. There have been more than 2,473 confirmed cases of the COVID-19 in more than 25 countries outside of China, including all the telecom markets we cover in this report. This report takes the perspective that COVID-19 will continue to spread in the upcoming months, and that as health experts understand more about the virus, it will follow the course of the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) contagion in 2003, assuming that it will peak and will eventually decline in the summer months of 2020.
