Abstract
This IDC Manufacturing Insights Pivot Table provides an overview of IT spending trends for the manufacturing sector in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) for the 2016–2020 period (with 2015 as the base year).
This downloadable pivot table includes details of specific IT spending patterns by:
- Major technology — hardware, software, and IT services
- Manufacturing subsector — aerospace and defense, automotive, base materials (chemicals, metals, pulp and paper, and others), consumer products (discrete and process), high-tech (electronic components, equipment, and others), life science (biotech and pharmaceuticals), oil/gas process, other discrete manufacturing, other process manufacturing, and other pharmaceuticals
- Country — the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, and Rest of CEE
The information provided in this pivot table is intended to enable IT vendors to draw useful conclusions about short- and long-term opportunities in their markets of interest, and is further aimed at supporting vendors' budgeting activities. For the methodology, exchange rates, definitions, and assumptions used in this forecast, please refer to the related worksheets in the pivot table.
This report contains an updated pivot table for the previous Central and Eastern Europe Manufacturing Sector 2015 IT Spending and 2016–2020 Forecast (IDC #CEMA40536216, August 2016). Additional effort has been made to provide IT vendors with the most accurate IT spending data throughout the year. For the first time, manufacturing IT spending for Russia and the Rest of CEE has been included in the pivot table. Data provision for Slovakia has been discontinued and the country's manufacturing IT spending is now included in the Rest of CEE category.
