How Do Western European Companies Perceive ICT Vendors' DX Offerings?
By: Gabriele Roberti Research Manager, European Industry Solutions, Customer Insights & Analysis
Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight presents the results of the IDC's 2017 European Vertical Markets Survey, which involved 1,967 companies with more than 10 employees in over 85% of the European economy (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Nordics, the U.K., and the Netherlands). IDC analyzed how IT executives perceived the offerings of IT vendors in terms of overall satisfaction with products and services and enabling digital transformation (DX). This study presents the highlights of that analysis, which indicates that a mix of traditional and 3rd Platform–native technology vendors are fighting head to head to gain competitive advantage in the DX race.
The vertical markets considered include financial services (including banking, insurance, and other finance), manufacturing, healthcare, telecom/media, utilities/oil and gas (O&G), retail/wholesale, professional services, transport/accommodation, and government/education.
