Abstract

The slides in this presentation have been presented at a variety of partner summits by IDC. The presentation leverages IDC's Partner of the Future Framework (IDC Partner of the Future 2.0: The Transformations European Partners Need to Make to be Successful in the 2nd Chapter of the 3rd Platform, IDC #EMEA44839818, February 2019) and 2018 European Partnering Survey to provide a perspective on what high-performing, high-growth partners are doing to transform their businesses and grow profitably.

In this presentation, IDC shares a segmentation of the market based on four categories of partners that IDC has termed Thrivers, In-Betweeners, Survivors, and Decliners. Categories are defined based on self-reported revenue outlook from the European Partner Survey (2018) for the current year (significant growth = Thrivers, moderate growth = In-Betweeners, flat = Survivors, and moderate decline = Decliners).

This content forms a key part of IDC's thought leadership on how the channel is evolving and what vendors need to look for to ensure a healthy and growing partner ecosystem.
