On-line Presentation

Abstract

This IDC Survey analyzes Internet-of-Things (IoT) use case adoption in insurance and leverages results from IDC's 2018 Global IoT Decision-Maker Survey. IDC's Worldwide Digital Transformation Use Case Taxonomy, 2019: Insurance (IDC #US44600319, June 2019) defines several IoT-enabled use cases in insurance that help carriers deliver contextual and value-centric products and services in response to customer expectations in the digital era. This presentation examines adoption for these use cases based on responses from 128 carriers across the Americas, Europe, and Asia/Pacific. The survey was conducted by IDC's Quantitative Research Group to understand current IoT adoption trends and the outlook of multiple industries across the globe on this technology.
