IoT Security in European Healthcare

By: Giulia BesanaResearch Analyst, Silvia PiaiResearch Director, Europe

On-line Presentation

Abstract

This IDC Survey analyzes results from IDC's 2019 Global IoT Decision-Maker Survey on European healthcare organizations' Internet-of-Things (IoT) security in terms of next-generation security solutions adoption, maturity, vulnerability perception, and approaches to Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) security. The European healthcare sample comprises between 147 and 152 respondents.

"As European healthcare providers increasingly rely on connected devices for a variety of use cases, the vulnerability of IoT poses serious threats and requires organizations to rethink their enterprise security strategy and risk management approach, prioritizing the design, deployment, and maintenance of systems and processes that can scale security across the organization," said Giulia Besana, research analyst, IDC Health Insights.
