Russia Internet-of-Things Market 2019–2023 Forecast

By: Elena SemenovskaiaResearch Director, Software, Commonwealth of Independent States

Abstract

This IDC study provides key considerations for technology suppliers in this evolving and complex market, as well as some of the drivers and inhibitors of growth throughout the forecast period. This forecast is created from IDC's Worldwide Semiannual Internet of Things Spending Guide. This iteration includes data presented in the May 2019 update to IDC's Worldwide Semiannual Internet of Things Spending Guide. In the most recent iteration, there were 82 use cases identified and sized across the technology stack, with up-front and recurring spend considered.

"As separate IoT implementations scale out and become part of day-to-day operations, companies face integration issues and amplified security concerns. This natural, temporary setback in IoT adoption calls for more consulting services from technology providers and systems integrators. On the positive side, growing numbers of IoT implementations and diversified use cases continue to demonstrate benefits for business. Vendors and systems integrators should take a solution-focused approach to address inhibiting factors and to position IoT benefits at the initial IoT project stage." — Software Research Director Elena Semenovskaia, IDC Russia
