Omni-Experience and Citizen Orientation at the Core of Future Public Services
By: Julia Neuschmid
Abstract
IDC predicts that, by 2019, 25% of Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities will have open data sharing platforms that enable service improvements, private sector innovation, and transparency. To realize these benefits, data publishers/providers need to expend more effort on organizing data and portals and must place the user at the center of this data organization. In this webcast, IDC Government Insights analysts talk about citizen-centric government services, using the example of open data portals. We look at the importance of citizen-centricity, the challenges involved, and the ways of organizing services to realize their full potential for the public sector, the economy, and society at large. The webcast aims to answer the following questions:
- Why is citizen centricity important?
- What challenges do services providers and citizens face?
- What does a citizen-centric approach look like?
