"The market for service robotics is expanding rapidly," says John Santagate, research director for Service Robots at IDC. "Technology innovators are coming up with ways to solve traditional business challenges by applying modern robotic solutions. The very interesting thing is that for any one problem, there are several ways to solve it, and because of this, we are seeing a rapid uptick in the number of robotics vendors, each with its own unique value proposition and way of solving the same problem."
