By: Wayne KurtzmanResearch Director, Social and Collaboration

On-line Presentation

Abstract

This IDC Survey examines IDC's 2020 Annual Collaboration Study, which surveyed the attitudes toward and the adoption, use, benefits, and purchasing paths of team collaboration applications and the collaborative applications integrated within those platforms. This study is intended to help technology leaders and vendors with current insights into the evolving use and benefits of collaboration technologies and behaviors. "The benefits of collaboration have a major impact on hiring and retaining talent and creating a sense of community that makes individuals and teams more productive," according to Wayne Kurtzman, research director for IDC's Social, Communities and Collaboration practice. "The workforce often wonders why they can collaborate and communicate, even with video, more seamlessly outside the workplace. The enterprise is starting to catch up and empower collaborative productivity."
