Abstract

This IDC Survey studies how small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), defined as 1-999 employees, research and procure advanced technology investments using IDC's 2019 SMB Survey. It further examines the top reasons a channel was selected for channels that had been observed.

According to Shari Lava, research director, Small and Medium-Sized Business at IDC, "Our research shows that trust and the ability to integrate solutions are the top reasons that small and medium-sized businesses select a specific channel to invest in technology. That said, the data clearly shows that the ability to offer cloud solutions is becoming increasingly important to SMBs when selecting a buying channel."
