On-line Presentation

Abstract

This IDC Survey highlights successful small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) that are digitally transforming to see significantly larger revenue growth versus their competition. Other key findings show the most important transformation factors include generational complexion of employees and senior management, modern views on the role of technology, and a customer-centric focus among other insights. The results are from IDC's U.S. SMB Survey of 820 U.S. SMB companies conducted in May 2019.

Advanced segmentation factors including digital transformation maturity and industry in addition to traditional measures such as employee size help shed light on SMB success in a digital world. The goal of this survey was to identify the key differences between SMBs that are successful and those that are struggling.
