This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights candidate relationship management (CRM) buying trends for 2019. Candidate relationship management (CRM) platforms have become a popular technology in many talent acquisition (TA) departments over the past 5–10 years. Mirroring the marketing function by engaging and nurturing customers (in this case, candidates), CRM systems provide value to the employee experience as well as allowing TA to control, understand, and optimize the hiring process. Findings from IDC's 2019 Talent Acquisition Buyer Survey indicate that organizations are still in the process of adopting this technology which relies heavily on the prioritization of a TA department's ability to realize the full potential of recruitment marketing as a strategic function. This Survey Spotlight analyzes which CRM platform organizations (100-5,000+ employees) are using and the opportunity to connect with TA departments that have yet to implement this technology.
