On-line Presentation

Abstract

This IDC Survey provides a summary of the standalone audio and videoconferencing results of IDC's U.S. Enterprise Communications Survey, 2019, an online survey of United States–based businesses fielded in August 2019. This portion of the survey explores key standalone audio and videoconferencing trends including current and future business adoption and usage of the various types of videoconferencing solutions and usage of videoconferencing endpoints.

"Nearly two-thirds of businesses use standalone audio conferencing, whereas slightly more than one-half of organizations currently use videoconferencing. However, more than one-third of businesses plan to use videoconferencing in the next two years, signifying a shift from legacy audioconferencing solutions to more integrated, video-first conferencing solutions is occurring," says Amy Lind, research manager, Enterprise Communications Services at IDC.
