On-line Presentation

Abstract

This IDC Survey includes data from IDC's COVID-19 Impact on IT Spending Survey. IDC conducted a global survey August 5–17, 2020. The document provides the results and analysis from a global survey of 670 senior leaders. Respondents are from a broad range of industries and company sizes. The global poll was designed to understand shifts in IT, LOB, and C-suite confidence, decision making, and spending in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. This document examines global and North American trends in policy, process, and technological support for the emerging hybrid workforce. It also explores the degree to which workers have parity in access to key technologies they need regardless of their work location.

"IDC sees clear global momentum to support a hybrid workforce model across policy, process, and technology, said Amy Loomis, research director, Future of Work at IDC. "Currently, North America shows significantly higher tech investment than global peers in supporting digital parity for a wide variety of essential technologies."
